About 200 Students Kidnapped in Kuriga Village, Kaduna State.

About 200 Students were Kidnapped  in Local Government Area of ​​Kaduna State in North West Nigeria.

About 50 minutes ago, 200 primary and secondary school students were kidnapped from their school in Kuriga village in Chikun Local Government Area of ​​Kaduna State in North West Nigeria. The incident happened this morning (Thursday) when the students were on the assembly around half past eight. 

A senior official of the Kaduna state government confirmed the incident, but said there is no detailed information on the incident so far.

An individual who witnessed the incident said, "the assembly was over around 8:30 am  when kidnappers attacked the school and took about 200 students including one among the teachers”

The witness also confirms that the attackers shot a child who was rushed to the hospital in Birnin Gwari. The children involved in the incident, as the witness confirmed that their ages ranged from eight to 15.
