Human Development 201 Students on The Acquisition of Skills NOUN, CHRDEl, CHRD Graduates.

No few than 201 Students graduated from the National Open University of Nigeria,(NOUN) Centre for Human Resources Development,(CHRD, in collaboration with The Centre for Human Resources Development and EmpowermentInitiativee,(CHRDEI)in the various skills Acquisition in Kaduna.
In his Address, the Vice President Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima said "the Federal government will continue to encouragepromise t to support the Center, and the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN )for floating such all-important training at a time when this new Administration is rolling out so many beneficial programs to the masses which will be requiring credible and competently trained personnel to implement them.
Represented by Majority leader Kaduna State House of Assembly, Honourable Ahmed Mohammed Chokali, Said the Vice President reckons with your initiative and commends all the collaborating institutions for this well thought and carefully implemented training which tallies with the developmental strides of the Renewed Hope agenda of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
Also Speaking during the 26th Graduation ceremony in Kaduna, The Vice- Chancellor National Open University of Nigeria,(NOUN) Professor Olufemi Peters, Represented by Professor Oduma Orji Oduma Deputy Vice -Chancellor Academic, said"This 26th graduation ceremony is indeed special, in numbers of ways.
The Vice-Chancellor explained that "First with 201 trainees deserving Certificates of completion today, it is indisputable that every year we make greater leaps, more so it is a reaffirmation of the increasing confidence reposed by Nigerians on the competencies and integrity of the National Open University of Nigeria.
Professor Oduma Orji maintained that "These graduating Class of 201, were trained in information and Communication Technology and Web Design, further testifying the role of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN)in developing appreciate competencies for a new global order, driven by information and emerging technologies.
The NOUNVice-Chancellorr further explained that NOUN is indeed and in truth, an enabler of opportunities and has sustained the streak in its continued effort to live up to its mandate of providing wider access to education generally but more specifically, enhanced Education for all and lifelong earning in fact, and ana mmomoreanced sense, our efforts in mapping career paths and quantifying skills in CHRDEI are a harbinger of the necessity for us to further explore the growing interest in micro-credentialing.
In his welcome address, the Director of Centre for Human Resource Development (CHRD)Associate Professor, Aminu Umar Said CHRD provides formal and informal education through training, collaboration, and partnership designed to increase individual and organizational productivity and create opportunities that enhance knowledge and skills geared toward building capacity of individuals or organizations to realize their potential.
He noted that CHRD supports government agencies, corporate bodies organizations, and non-State actors to build the capacity of persons in need of skills to respond effectively to current and future customer demands and needs, alongside promoting and leveraging technology to enhance effectiveness and efficiency among its trainees in service delivery, as part of the NOUN Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to Nigerians.
Dr, Umar maintained that the CHRD will continue to strive towards excellence and the provision of skills for advancement in our bid to be the foremost center of excellence in manpower development, skills Acquisition, and cost-effective knowledge for the development of society.
The Centre for Human Resource Development (CHRD)in collaboration with the Centre for Human Resource Development and Empowerment initiative (CHRDEI)is presenting 201 graduands for the conferment of the basic Certificate of Completion with 167 in ICT and Web design,26 in Tailoring,4 in Printing, and 4 in Embroidery.
"We call on the government, faith-based organizations, Women's groups, youth associations, philanthropies, academics, Politicians, businessmen, and Women, to strive to encourage and sponsor especially our teaming youths to acquire skills that will make them self-employed and, also, employers of labor.
Earlier In his speech the Founder Centre for Human Resource Development and Empowerment Initiative (CHRDEI) Dr, Muhammad Ali, Said "As you marvel at your daughter or son's accomplishments, it doesn't seem that long ago when those that are graduating today can't even start a computer or set an embroidery machine or printer but out of share hard work, commitment about to celebrate their graduation having been found worthy both in character and learning.
"This effort your Excellency, deserves to be noted and promoted for the overall benefit of the nation and the citizens because having achieved what the graduating Students have attained, no one of them will look back or be attracted to become a Social malcontent or a bandit in search of soft target or easy money from ransom payment or such other vices that threaten the societal social order.
Dr. Muhammad Ali explained that"A lack of empowerment and Civic Participation, lack of personal security are all problems confronting our youth population across the nation today, in so doing, the government must make it a duty to establish enabling environment for jobs creation for the teaming youth population made up of graduate and artisans alike.
The Founder of the Centre added that "in our little ways, we are seeking to eradicate poverty from among our population and the women folk and we believe the aspiration is for a Society where no one regardless of physical location, gender, age, health, disability status, ethnic or religious identity is dependent at any rate over his/her life cycle.
"It is for this Simple fact that the Centre for Human Resource Development and Empowerment initiative is taking no chances at training our youths, males, and females in entrepreneurial development and inculcating in them the spirit of Self-dependence and patriotism so that together we can build a virile society where Self-dependence should be the vogue and not begging and destitution, he concluded.
Highlights of the event include Godwinl messages from Academia, the presenting Certificates to Graduation Students, presentation of NOUN advocacy items to the Vice President and other guests.
