Jigawa Govt Approves Recruitment of 2,124 Health Workers.

The Jigawa State Executive Council has approved for the recruitment of 2,124 health workers and the sum of N959,280,000 as their annual salary and allowances.

This was revealed by the state Commissioner of Information Youth, Sports and Culture, Hon Sagiru Musa Ahmed, while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the state executive council meeting.

He explained that those to be recruited to permanent and pensionable staff are 1,124, including 924 temporary health workers under state programme, J-Health, and 200 medical personnel.

Also, the council has approved the immediate recruitment of 1,000 Jigawa State indigenes that study health related courses at various levels as temporary workers under the state initiated J-Health Scheme to replace the 924 absorbed to permanent staff.
