There Will be 14 Million More Poor People in Nigeria by 2024--World Bank

The World Bank released a report on the development of Nigeria, in which it said that more than 129 million people are living in poverty in the country.

In the report released by the bank on Thursday in Abuja, it showed that the increase in the price of goods has thrown millions of citizens into hunger.

The bank said that over 129 million people, it showed that the country's citizens suffering from poverty increased from 40.1 percent in 2018 to 56 percent in 2024.

The report added that by 2023, 115 million people will be living in poverty, which means that 14 million more people will be living in poverty this year.
